Hello and welcome!
Thank you for stopping by! Yep, that is me on the picture above this entry. And yes, I make things beautiful and write about what I learned in the process. Hence, this blog. This is where I will muse about things I am learning and issues that either provoke or intrigue me as a design educator and designer. You will find articles about design, typography, photography, art, life in general, and a lot of content to fuel your mind.
My life is divided between being a professor and a designer. I have a deep passion for design, problem solving, visual thinking, research, learning, typography, geometry, movement, and others. Being a designer and an educator allows me to continuously learn which fits me well since I am very curious. Being an educator also allows me to think a lot about how we learn things, how we process data, how we apply and use that data, how to keep shooting at digesting said data better, and keep growing. I am also constantly dabbling on different media like painting, doodling, calligraphy, hand-lettering, photography, etc..
I am also a mommy to two very talkative and curious teen-aged kids. They sure keep us on our toes! I am married to a physicist turned programmer whose name is Tyson. He teaches college level Physics and home schools our kids. Please say hi, and send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Or find me in any of the social media outlets in the icons above and below. I will be glad to hear from you!
